WHAT CAUSES TUBERCULOSIS?

Tuberculosis (TB) is an infectious disease of the respiratory tract. TB is an infectious disease caused by the bacteria Mycobacterium Tuberculosis This bacterium is a bacterium bacillus is very strong so it takes a long time to treat.

TB is not a hereditary disease, and TB can be cured with proper treatment, full and regular.
This disease can attack not only on adults, children and even infants classified as vulnerable to this disease the immune system is not perfect, poor nutritional quality, and adult patients as a source of transmitting TB is one of the causes of children susceptible to TB infection.

Tuberculosis

Based on the affected organ. TB can be divided into:
1. Pulmonary TB, more commonly encountered.
2. Extra Pulmonary TB, especially lymph node TB is common, the most commonly affected are the lymph nodes in the neck, armpit or groin.

CONTAGION

People with TB can transmit the disease when sneezing or coughing, the bacteria spread into the air through the spark sputum and can survive in air at room temperature within a few hours. Individuals can become infected around when sputum containing bacteria in the respiratory tract by inhalation.
These bacteria generally attacks the lungs and a small part on other organs. The bacteria in the lungs proliferate to form a group so that the lung tissue becomes inflamed. Rontgen examination of the thorax, will be seen as white patches.

SYMPTOMS :
  • Coughing up phlegm + / - 3 weeks or so (do not cured after treatment of other causes of cough),
  • Coughing up blood or had been coughing up blood,
  • Prolonged or repeated-fever without apparent cause,
  • Shortness of breath and chest pain,
  • Weight loss continues down without apparent reason and did not rise despite consuming good nutrition,.
  • Sense of not feeling well,
  • Night-sweating even without activity,
  • Enlarged lymph nodes (frequently based in the neck, armpits, groin).

TREATMENT

TB is treated with two treatment phases, namely: the initial stage (intensive) and advanced stage, duration of treatment 6-9 months, depending on the severity of the disease. Patients need to take medication in full and on schedule regular medication until otherwise recovered. Do three times a re-examination of sputum to determine the progress of treatment, at the end of the initial phase of treatment,
a month before the end of treatment and at the end of treatment. One of the influential factors on the success of TB treatment is the awareness of patients throughout the treatment process that is motivation to live healthy and drug adherence.

Many patients who do not adhere to treatment, for example due to a period of relatively long treatment, the amount of drugs is quite a lot, and the relatively large size of the drug. TB patients who had undergone 2 months of therapy, will demonstrate improved clinical symptoms, but many people who think that there is no clinical symptoms, thought it healed. Termination of the period of time should be able to give rise to resistance to anti-TB drugs and ultimately cause harm to people and the environment.

TB patients require foods that contain a lot of protein to speed repair damaged cells and tissues are damaged due to TB. Foods high in protein is necessary to help cure TB work effectively in the body. To get to the network, the drug must bind to albumin compound (a compound in protein) to be able to work up to the cells of damaged tissue, to repair it. When the protein content is less, less albumin, inhibited the healing process.

TB treatment in children with the adult, which takes 6-9 months. Just as in adults, in children infected with these bacteria were signs can be seen from examination of the thorax rontgen marked white patches. If treated appropriately and promptly, with some improvement in child nutrition, these spots will be reduced and even disappear within 6-9 months, if not, then the damage to the lung tissue to expand, and further may cause coughing up phlegm and mortality.

Reduce the risk of TB infection can be done with efforts to maintain a healthy body and environment, for example: set the house in order to get sunlight because these bacteria are quickly killed by direct sunlight, eat nutritious foods, not spitting / sneezing / coughing lightly.

Some things you need to understand people with TB, among others:
1. The drug long enough (6-9 months).
2. Taking medication adherence influence on healing,
3. Treatment also influenced by the consumption of good nutrition especially protein,
4. Neighborhood problems healthy patients and the ability to live healthy.

Immediate treatment, adherence during the treatment process, and maintain a healthy body and environment, is a step we can do to break the transmission of TB in the environment around us.

  1. My name is hoover, my 18 year old daughter, Tricia was diagnosed with herpes 3 years ago. Since then, we have moved from one hospital to another. We tried all kinds of pills, but every effort to get rid of the virus was futile. The bubbles continued to reappear after a few months.
